East Bergholt

Is in the heart of Dedham Vale, on the Suffolk | Essex border, an area of outstanding natural beauty, National Trust, and The Flatford Mill Estate and birthplace of the renowned painter John Constable.

With a host of pubs and independent shops and restaurants locally, some within walking distance, the lodges in East Bergholt are an idea base to explore Suffolk and the coast.

Manningtree station, just a 10 minute drive and only 1 hour from London Liverpool Street if you wish to travel by train, or use as a mode of transport to travel into London and further afield to Norwich perhaps.

Further Afield

Suffolk is loved by families, walkers and cyclists, in fact, everyone who loves being outside in the fresh air and enjoys beautiful countryside and the coast.

Visit the Wool Towns of Lavenham, Kersey, and Hadleigh, the beautiful and historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, or explore Shotley Peninsula between the Orwell and Stour rivers, or Alton Water reservoir with its 7 mile circular scenic walk and a sailing school.

There is also so much to do with the children from Colchester Zoo, Jimmy’s Farm, Constable Paddleboard centre, Framlingham Castles and Easton Farm Park, plus the many beaches from Frinton-on-Sea, Clacton, Felixstowe and further East to Southwold and the iconic Victorian seaside town of Aldeburgh. (a must for fish and chips).
