Constable Holiday Lodges offers five luxury self-catering lodges set in the most peaceful landscape of Constable Country. From your door step, you have river walks, open skies, historical villages and the feeling of being close to nature, while having excellent pubs, market towns and Suffolk’s beautiful coast within easy reach. Here, you can be as peaceful or as busy as you like – exploring Suffolk’s beaches and rivers, sailing, surfing, paddleboarding, horse riding through the countryside, or simply relaxing in front of the fire before stargazing outside from the warmth of your private hot tub.

When the opportunity came up to share this beautiful place with others, we did not hesitate. Although we may have wondered what we had taken on when Constable Holiday Lodges became a reality in 2020 and 2021, at a time when the world felt a bit uncertain.

Living here, we are reminded every day how special this part of the country is. The open skies, peaceful countryside, rivers, villages and ever-changing landscape have a way of stopping you in your tracks, sometimes because of the view, and sometimes because a pheasant or a family of ducks has decided to cross the road very, very slowly. It is a place we never take for granted, in sunshine, rain, mist, frost and the occasional very determined Suffolk breeze.

We wanted to create somewhere guests could experience the same sense of peace, beauty and connection with nature, while still enjoying a comfortable and memorable stay. Somewhere you can walk, explore, unwind, light the fire, sink into the hot tub and remember what it feels like to slow down properly.

We are also proud to be part of the local community, and we hope our small venture helps support the wonderful pubs, shops, cafés, attractions and independent businesses that make this area so special. After all, a good countryside escape is made even better by a proper pub lunch, a decent cup of coffee, homemade cakes and somewhere lovely to wander afterwards.
